Belfast Gala Weekend - 14th - 15th March 2009
Held at the Ards Leisure Centre we had just one entry in this competition in the form of Anthony Williams. Fortunately the journey was worthwhile with a National Finals qualification secured. With a good set round Anthony was in 2nd place with 22.7 just 0.3 behind the leader, the voluntary round, however, saw him slip back a place scoring 21.7 + 7.7 (52.1 aggregate). With the final round being a zero-start Anthony lost his nearly-two-point lead over the fourth placed performer and failed to repeat his voluntary form slipping back to 4th place overall on tie-break (final round score 20.6+7.7=28.3).
