Schools Midlands Zone Championships, 14th January 2012
Thirteen of our members had made it through to the Zonal finals from the Regional round of the annual schools' championships, 8 as individuals. Five won through to Nationals as individuals and they will be joined by two others making up team places.:
- Winners - Faith Everett (U11 Elite), Lucy Phillips (U15 Elite), Chrissie Law (U19 Elite) and the Under 15 Elite team from Cooper Coborn (Susanna Badley, Lucy Phillips, Emma Brereton & Ellie Guy)
- Second place - Susanna Badley (U15 Elite)
- Third place - Maddison Merritt (U11 Elite)
Georgia Tyrrell also came close just 0.3 off 3rd place in U11 Elite. For those who didn't make it through this time it was, for most, a first time experience travelling away and staying overnight for a competition and all enjoyed the event.
Members (& team-mates) scores are given below, (positions and places prefixed with ~ are unofficial since those competing only in the team event did not have an official rank but the placing does reflect their overall position of their scores on the day against both team and individual entrants):
