Successful Competition

Maddie, Faith & Georgie

One of two clean sweeps of teh day
The Eastern regional Trampoline Grading competition hosted by Brentwood Trampoline Club last weekend was a resounding success for the club; not only did the event run smoothly and to time but the club itself outperformed local rivals on the day by a good margin.

Although regional competitions are now run in smaller groups to ensure that young performers stand a better chance of winning a trophy, the more serious element is still to achieve high ‘qualifying scores’ that allow a performer to move on to the next grade.  Brentwood Trampoline Club lead the way not only with more trophies than any other club in the region (22 out of 95 available and with two clean sweeps of medal places), but more importantly more qualifiers with 12 of just 37 (out of nearly 300 competing) being Brentwood Trampoline Club members.

Many of the club’s members travel from around Essex to train with them at Brentwood School Sports Centre, but several  of those living in the Brentwood and Ongar area contributed to this success with Kendra Sherlock and Emma Martin both achieving qualification scores and Rebecca Gell, Kendra Sherlock, Amy Richardson, Emma Martin & Georgia Tyrrell all winning trophies.

Havering successes were Katie Cremer, Olivia Watson, Ainslie Plews, Ellie Guy and Lucy Phillips all gaining qualifying scores with Ainslie Plews, Katie Cremer, Lucy Phillips, Olivia Watson & Lauren Marchant all winning trophies.

Southend to Basildon successes were Thea Taylor, Becky Tompkinson & Joe Harris gaining qualifying scores with Thea Taylor, Royce Taylor, Joe Harris, Faith Everett, Megham Wild, Becky Tompkinson, Maddison Merritt and Jonathan Gibbs all winning trophies.

Maldon & Chelmsford successes were Lauren Bembrick-Taylor qualifying with Lauren, Emma Frost and Ray Cullender all winning trophies.

Anybody wanting to see the full results of the competition can find them on Brentwood Trampoline Club’s website at http://www.brentwoodtc.org/brentwood_15may11.htm

Trampolining for all

The club is always keen to promote participation in trampolining and, to this end, does not operate a waiting list but, instead, welcomes casual attendances at its regular weekend pay-as-you-go sessions details of which are also on the clubs website.  All these sessions take place at our regular training venue in Brentwood School Sports Centre.
