This competition was a departure from the norm with 3 competitions in 1 - Individual, Synchro & Russian Roulette Synchro and our results could not have been more varied.
Individual
With just 14 entries in Individual across 8 groups we could hardly have been more successful taking 7 first, 2 seconds and a third, we managed to get most of them in the picture (right) - there are many more pictures on Becky Tompkinson's website, mainly of Brentwood members but also some others as well - please ask your coach for the password. The individual results were as follows:

Synchro
Not something we have done much of before but hugely enjoyable and the lack of any trophies from this section of the competiton hardly seemed to matter after the individual successes. The first synchro group to run was the Grade E in which we had 5 pairings inlcuding one pair teaming with another club's performer. Faith & Trinity Kelly (Cangeroos) lost out narrowly to competition organiser, Rachel, and her partner by just 0.5 to come 2nd. Following behind them were Alex & Georgie in 4th, Josh & Maddie in 6th, Olivia & Emma in 7th and Susanna & Kensie (who were penalised for performing a different move in the vol) in last. The F synchro had Lauren B-T and Kendra paired up and finishing in 3rd place. Finally, the G group saw two pairs, Tegan Roycroft & Katie who took a respectable 3rd out of 8 and Becky and Nicola who came last having not completed their voluntary routine.
Russian Roulette Synchro
A different dimension again this with just 8 entries whose names were picked from a hat to form 4 pairs. Given not very long to practice the H routine together these diverse pairs were really quite diverse. Emma paired up with (relatively) diminutive Trinity and came 2nd, whilst Olivia was paired with Dragons' Georgina Hardiment who managed to take the wooden spoon by just 0.3.
